In rural Peck, Kansas, a growing family was ready to give their 14-year-old home a thoughtful update. While the home’s charming wraparound porch and warm cedar-tone siding gave it a timeless appeal, the original windows were starting to show their age—drafty, outdated and no longer matching the homeowners’ evolving style.
They wanted something clean and classic that would blend in with the home’s exterior but also felt fresh and modern inside. Most importantly, the new windows had to perform well year-round in the unpredictable Kansas climate.
Working with the Pella Kansas team, the homeowners selected white-on-white vinyl sliding and picture windows for a whole-home window replacement that balances energy efficiency, durability and sleek, grille-free design.
Clean Vinyl Windows with a Modern Look
The homeowners wanted to preserve the home's original character while updating the windows to better reflect their current aesthetic. They opted to remove the grilles from the previous windows, creating a more open and contemporary look that also maximizes natural light.
The white vinyl frames of the 250 Series windows seamlessly match the trim both inside and out, giving the home a polished, consistent appearance. And with a mix of sliding and picture windows, each room now benefits from improved functionality, clearer sightlines and enhanced curb appeal.
Energy-Efficient Windows That Perform Year-Round
Upgrading to energy-efficient vinyl windows wasn’t just about style; it was also a practical investment in comfort and performance. The dual-pane Low-E glass helps reduce heat transfer, while the durable frames and tighter seals provide better insulation through Kansas winters and hot summer days.
By choosing low-maintenance, high-performing materials, the homeowners were able to improve their home’s energy efficiency without sacrificing the look they love. The result? A smoother indoor experience, lower potential energy bills and peace of mind that their windows will stand the test of time.
