In Boise, a city renowned for its vibrant arts scene and outdoor adventures, this concept house was designed by Pella Windows and Doors of Idaho and sold upon completion. It showcases the sophistication of Pella Impervia windows and carefully combines classic and modern styles, while incorporating unique window types like garden and circle windows. Our work sets a fresh standard in residential design, embodying a balance of style, durability and craftsmanship in this meticulously built home.
Garden Window Offers Greenhouse Feel
The seamlessly integrated garden window brings a natural touch to the interior. Created using a box bay window over the kitchen sink, it enhances the kitchen's visual appeal and provides ample sunlight for herbs and plants to thrive.
The three-dimensional glass box design of the garden window creates a dedicated space for the homeowners to nurture plants, bringing a greenhouse feel indoors. This feature is beautifully complemented by large rectangular windows framed in white, matching the overall aesthetic. Placed side by side, they offer a panoramic view of the yard or garden, blending the indoor and outdoor environments seamlessly.
Natural light streaming through these windows highlights the sleek lines and modern layout of the kitchen and dining area, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. This integration of natural elements and contemporary design elevates the functionality and enhances the charm and warmth of the space.
Unique Window Types Add Character
This project goes beyond the garden window trend to showcase a variety of window styles that enhance the home's ambiance and define its unique character. For example, circle windows infuse personalized charm and architectural interest, while dormer windows elegantly peek out from the roofline, introducing character and additional light to the upper story.
Matching the larger windows on the main floor, the upper-level windows create a unified look and let in plenty of natural light. Using different window styles thoughtfully enhances the home's appearance and helps make every room feel bright and airy. Beyond aesthetics, varying window types bring different functionality to each room of the home. While picture windows let in natural light, casement windows are great for fresh airflow, and double-hung windows are popular on upper levels because both sashes tilt inward, making for easy cleaning and maintenance.
Intentional Window Design Elevates Home Aesthetics and Functionality
This concept house showcases a carefully curated selection of diverse window types that seamlessly contribute to both the overall aesthetic appeal and functionality of the home. The thoughtful placement and design of each window enhances natural light, ventilation and energy efficiency while simultaneously creating a visually striking exterior and interior. The successful integration of these varied window types demonstrates the power of intentional design choices in elevating the overall quality and character of a new build.
