Stunning Window Transformation in West Granby Remodel

Discover how a white, wood window and door replacement elevates this home.

Project Details

Before the renovation, this West Granby home had aging, inefficient windows that did not match the homeowners’ vision for a warm, inviting space. With help from our team at Pella Western Massachusetts, they reimagined their home’s potential. As longtime locals, we have extensive experience serving homeowners in West Granby, Connecticut—a historic town nestled in the foothills of the scenic Berkshire Highlands. Our expertise in practical window solutions is tailored to the unique needs of Northeastern homes. This project was a perfect opportunity to put that knowledge to work, helping this family find the right solution for their windows.

White Windows Enhance Curb Appeal with Traditional- Styled Grilles

This home was originally built in 1986 with Pella products, and while they had served the family well, the homeowners were ready for a change. They wanted to give their home a fresh, updated look, which meant it was time for new windows and doors. The original windows blended into the brown siding, making them easy to overlook. To give the home a noticeable upgrade, we installed crisp white windows that create a striking contrast against the updated exterior. The new windows feature wider frames with a traditional grille pattern, which is a hallmark of the home’s original style.

Wood Windows Improve Energy Efficiency and Convenience in West Granby

Our team installed Pella Lifestyle Series windows and doors to improve the home’s energy efficiency and sound performance. These West Granby homeowners opted for triple-pane glass designed with three individual panes of glass filled with insulating gas to maximize energy savings. Triple pane windows are 79% more energy efficient than single pane glass, making it an ideal option for this Northeastern climate.17 Not only will this help save money on energy for the home, but it will also reduce outside noises.

The homeowners decided on between-the-glass fabric shades to block unwanted utravviolet rays. This was especially important as it ensured that the shades would not be damaged by pets or children and wouldn’t require any dusting. The triple-pane glass paired with between-the-glass shades provided an easy and convenient solution to these homeowners, allowing them to save on their energy bill.

Wood Windows and Doors Provide Durability in Northeastern Weather

To withstand the harsh elements faced in West Granby, our expert team installed wood windows with a low-maintenance exterior aluminum cladding for added protection. Built to resist rotting and corrosion, our wood products are made with lasting durability in mind. As West Granby experiences ample snowfall and rain, these windows provide homeowners with peace of mind, staying in pristine condition for years to come.

There were several other improvements made to the home and our experts worked closely with the contractors involved in the renovation to ensure the job was done right. Upon completion, the homeowners were thrilled with the new look of their home. They are particularly excited about the premium feel of their home, as well as the lasting beauty of their new windows and doors.
