Doors and Windows Create Wall of Glass for Henrico Patio

Located along the scenic James River, Henrico County is a growing suburb of Richmond, Virginia. With vibrant neighborhoods and a thriving business climate, interest in the area continues to surge. We had the chance to work with a homeowner who was ready to give the patio of his home a much-needed upgrade. He had a large space in his home to fill and wanted to make the most of his budget. We recommended a two-panel sliding patio door surrounded by picture windows. This gave the look of a wall of glass leading out to the patio. 

This home had a large opening to fill and the homeowner wanted something functional and aesthetically pleasing. The idea was to give the look of a five-panel door while still staying within budget. The two-panel sliding glass door in the middle was more affordable than a five-panel one and it still allows ample room to move between spaces. We were able to think outside the box and offer a creative solution within the budget.

The picture windows and sliding patio doors offer a welcoming atmosphere built for entertaining both from inside and outside the home. Compared to hinged or folding patio doors, which take up more of the entertaining area, these doors provide extra floor space near the door.
