Project Details

Nestled next to the Hackensack River approximately 15 miles northwest of midtown Manhattan, sits the charming New York City suburb of Oradell, New Jersey. To revitalize the curb appeal of their brick home, homeowners turned to Pella of Central New York for a colorful and durable upgrade to their home’s entrance.

Durable Fiberglass Front Door with Glass Delivers Light and Long-Lasting Beauty

The entryway of this classic brick home was dark, small and uninviting. To remedy this, the homeowners replaced their 1/4 light front door with a 3/4 light fiberglass front door. More than doubling the amount of glass allows an abundance of light to pour into the home. This makes the foyer bright and inviting — and feel much larger than it is. The new front door is made of durable fiberglass and won’t rot or dent. Its rigid, composite frame is both strong and energy efficient, providing years of dependable performance in hot city summers and cold winters.

Blue Front Door Modernizes Brick Home’s Curb Appeal

The homeowners selected a Blue Ash front door from Pella’s state-of-the-art color collection. Set against the lush landscaping and red brick, the modern blue color of the new front door pops against the white windows of the home. The tranquil blue draws the eye in, becoming a modern focal point on the classic exterior. The Simulated-Divided-Light grilles in a traditional 2x4 pattern balance the modern color with traditional lines. These grilles are permanently bonded to the interior and exterior of the glass. It delivers the authentic look of individual panes of glass with better energy efficiency.

Obscure Glass Maintains Homeowner’s Privacy

While the homeowners wanted to fill their entryway with light, they also wanted to maintain their privacy. With the help of their experienced sales representative, they chose a textured obscure glass that fits their home’s style and their desired privacy level. Also known as privacy glass, obscure glass distorts the image seen through it. The homeowners are left with a beautiful blue front door that marries modern and traditional styles.
