Located in Columbiana, Ohio, The Inn at Old Saybrook underwent a comprehensive assisted living renovation focused on improving long-term performance, resident comfort and operational efficiency. Pella Cleveland partnered on the project to supply Pella Lifestyle Series windows, selected for their thermal performance, flexible configuration options and low-maintenance features suited to high-traffic residential care settings.

In assisted living facilities, windows contribute directly to resident comfort and building operational costs. The selected Pella Lifestyle Series double-hung windows feature Advanced Low-E insulating glass with argon, delivering U-factors as low as 0.27–0.30 depending on configuration.

Because the grilles are sealed between panes of glass, the design achieves a traditional divided-light aesthetic while eliminating the cleaning and durability concerns associated with applied exterior grilles. This approach is particularly valuable in assisted living facilities where maintenance efficiency directly impacts operating budgets. 

The EnduraClad® exterior in white provides long-term resistance to fading, chalking and corrosion—important for Midwest weather exposure—while bright white painted interiors create a clean, uniform finish across resident rooms and shared spaces.
