Wood Picture Windows and Wood Hinged Patio Doors

Twin Hills Golf and Country Club is located on the northeast side of Oklahoma City. The course has its roots set 100 years in the past. Operating for over a century, the clubhouse was due for a renovation. Preserving the heritage and architectural integrity of this cherished landmark was central to the project. The owner and contractor turned to our team at Pella of Oklahoma to supply windows and doors that would honor the past while refreshing the look and feel of the clubhouse.

Wood Windows Preserve Traditional Clubhouse Heritage

Since honoring the history of this building was a priority, we recommended wood windows and doors. As the original window material in the clubhouse, wood seamlessly integrates with the historic architecture, preserving the authenticity of the building. Opting for wood doors and windows was not just a nod to tradition but also a practical decision. Wood is our most customizable material, making it a preferred choice by replacement contractors for centuries. For this project, we provided custom arch windows that fit into the existing openings of this space.

Picture Windows Renew Century-Old Building

Another primary objective of the clubhouse renovation was to provide golfers with an unobstructed look at the course from the comfort of the clubhouse. Expansive picture windows were the perfect solution, inviting members to enjoy the natural beauty surrounding the venue. When the clubhouse was originally built 100 years ago, window manufacturing was not as advanced as it is today. Large windows had to be separated into smaller individual panes of glass. With stronger frames and glass, windows can now be designed on much bigger scales. These new windows span from floor to ceiling, flooding the space with natural light and creating a welcoming ambiance for all who enter.

Low-Maintenance Windows and Doors Deliver Long-Lasting Durability

While aesthetics are undoubtedly important, durability is equally crucial, especially for a building with a century-old legacy. Wood windows and doors, when properly maintained, boast exceptional longevity. Low-maintenance aluminum cladding on the exterior of Pella’s wood products protects them from the elements, resisting rot and corrosion. By choosing wood, the clubhouse ensures that its windows and doors will continue to serve generations of visitors, maintaining their beauty and functionality for years to come.

New Products Improve Energy Efficiency

Given the age of this structure, the original windows and doors were not very energy efficient. The new windows and doors offer excellent insulation properties, helping to regulate indoor temperatures and reduce energy consumption. With a Low-E coating, multiple panes of glass and proper installation, these products help prevent drafts and heat transfer to save the owners money on utilities.

Behind every successful renovation project lies a team of skilled professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional results. In the case of the Twin Hills Golf clubhouse, Pella of Oklahoma played a pivotal role, providing expertise in the selection and installation of wood windows and doors. With our attention to detail and commitment to quality, we ensured this renovation surpassed expectations. The project left the clubhouse looking refreshed and the owners feeling pleased with the results.
