A prominent college town between Cincinnati and Dayton, Oxford is continuing to grow with new homes constantly being built. Many people who want to build houses in the area enjoy modern features and look to incorporate the popular Midwestern farmhouse style. Wanting only the highest quality products for their customers, Wieland Builders turned to Pella to supply Lifestyle Series double-hung windows and a sliding door.
Double-Hung Windows Enhance Farmhouse Style
Double-hung windows are very prominent in both old and new farmhouses. The symmetrical grille pattern is a common design detail that adds character to the space and fits the desired aesthetic of the home. White windows and grilles work well with the white walls and décor throughout the house. With clean, simple lines and a light color palette, these farmhouse windows provide an elevated feel to the room. Double-hung windows are also very functional and easy to use. Both sashes tilt inward for easy cleaning. They also move up and down for precise ventilation control.
Wood Clad Windows Offer Durability Against Ohio Weather
In the heart of the Midwest, Ohio experiences many kinds of weather throughout the year. Exterior aluminum cladding helps prevent weather-related deterioration while also being very low maintenance for the homeowners. Our high-performance EnduraClad® protective finishes are resistant to chalking and fading. These windows are a great match for homes that experience lots of direct sunlight. Lifestyle Series windows and doors are optimized for energy efficiency with a variety of Low-E insulating glass options. With wood being a natural insulating material, the windows help prevent drafts to keep these homeowners comfortable year-round.
Sliding Glass Door Blends Indoor and Outdoor Living
True to farmhouse style, open-concept spaces with ample natural lighting were very important in the design of this home. Effortlessly gliding along a track, this patio door takes up minimal space and helps to open the room by bringing the outdoors inside. A secure footbolt allows the door to open up to three inches, offering airflow while still staying safely locked. The white frames of the door blend with the surrounding walls to make the greenery of the backyard stand out. In the living room and the kitchen, the builders chose to include sconce picture lights above the windows and patio door, treating them as pieces of art that frame the outdoors.
In partnership with Wieland Builders, we were able to offer windows and a patio door that embrace traditional farmhouse style and offer modern features.
