Before and After: Drafty Vinyl Windows Replaced with Efficient Fiberglass
New windows helped spark a transformation for this home. We replaced old, drafty vinyl windows with Pella® Impervia® double-hung windows crafted of fiberglass. Their sleek, black frames inspired a bold, contrasting paint job on the exterior.

First built in 1979, this Chicago home looked dated with dark wood and brown brick. Their low-quality vinyl windows had broken seals and moisture inside the glass, which could be found all throughout their home. When they knew something needed to be done, they looked to Pella for help.
When looking for new windows, this homeowner wanted to find a window that would help reduce the drafts throughout their house while increasing the curb appeal. Their Pella sales rep helped this family decide on Pella Impervia windows to update their home. They picked a Black exterior frame to create a farmhouse design which was carried all through the home. In addition to new windows, these homeowners painted the exterior of their home white to create contrast from their new windows.
With this window replacement project, the homeowners were happy with the improvement in energy efficiency and aesthetic changes. They now have a stunning farmhouse-style home that is energy-efficient and features bold, black windows.
