Competitive pay

  • Profit sharing retirement plan – Pella returns 25% of pre-tax profits to team members.
  • Annual incentive plan – A pay-for-performance bonus.

Insurance and wellness programs

  • Medical and dental insurance – All eligible team members may participate in medical and dental insurance plans for themselves and their eligible family members.  The cost of the coverage is shared between the team member and Pella Corporation.  These self-funded plans generally result in lower costs.
  • Life insurance – Employee term life insurance is available to our team members as well as supplemental term life insurance at team member's expense.
  • Disability – In the event a team member is disabled from any non-work injury or illness Pella offers a percentage of your base salary.
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) – FSA's allow you to pay certain qualifying expenses for health care and/or dependent care with pre-tax dollars.  You decide your level of involvement.
  • Wellness – Pella Corporation embraces a healthy culture and promotes fitness and wellness through its Teaming for Wellness program.  As part of the program, Pella offers free annual on-site health screenings to all team members, spouses, and retirees and ongoing programs and activities to encourage a healthy culture in the workplace and vitality among its team members.

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – Pella Corporation provides an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) benefit to help team members and their families through times of stress or concern.  This benefit provides local counseling services and access to clinical, legal, and financial consultants 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Since 2003, Pella team members have raised more than $2 million for JDRF – the leading global organization focused on Type 1 diabetes research.  JDRF has awarded more than $1.6 billion to diabetes research since it was founded in 1970.

Pella, Iowa, honored by the Institute for Character Development
Congratulations to team members and others whose good work resulted in Pella being named Iowa's Community of Character for 2013.  Criteria for the award included developing an active task force and a comprehensive, sustained community-wide initiative to support good character while integrating character development throughout the community.

Character Counts! in Iowa began as a sesquicentennial project in 1996, thanks in part to support by the Pella Rolscreen Foundation.  In 2002, the Foundation introduced the pillar-based program in Pella and through the years has provided funding for other corporate locations to offer it locally.  The program is making a positive difference in the workplace as well as in schools and communities.
