Celebrating the People Behind Pella's 90th Anniversary

Pella is special, truly special.  We are more than a window and door company. We are a people company. Many companies say this, but at Pella we live it.  It’s our people who make all the difference. And they are the reason we are celebrating our 90th anniversary this year. The team members  employed by Pella nearly a half century ago,  who ultimately found a family here, are the testament.

Take for instance Don Van Vark who celebrated his 50th anniversary last year and has no intentions of retiring anytime soon, or Dorothy Vernon who can recall the kindness founder Pete Kuyper showed her over forty years ago when a pallet of wood toppled over in the plant. It is people like Don and Dorothy who make Pella special. In fact, Pella’s coveted Chairman’s Club that honors team members with 25 years of service or more boasts nearly 800 members—70 have 40 years or more of service with Pella.  And that doesn’t count our vast community of retirees!  We have all of them to thank for preserving Pella’s people-focused culture over the past 90 years—and counting.

Pella is blessed to have team members of all ages and tenure who care — really care — about each other, our communities, and our customers.  Here’s to another 90 years!
