1980s Texas Ranch Gets a Modern Makeover

This house has the patio of everyone's dreams.

A few years ago, Mackey-Adams Properties learned about a 1980s-ranch house, desperately in need of a makeover. Known as the “haunted house” of the prestigious Rob Roy neighborhood, the property held a lot of potential but would have to be gutted if it would ever be turned into a true modern ranch home.

Today, this 5,296 square-foot Austin, Texas property is now a modern luxury on the hillside, with five bedrooms and five bathrooms to live a truly beautiful life in. Our favorite part about the home? It features Pella® 450 Series® casement and fixed windows, and patio doors.

When asked about her favorite part of the makeover, interior designer Karen Radtke says she can’t get enough of how open, bright and airy the house is. “It’s an entertainer’s absolute dream home!” she says.

Aside from the patio, we’re also huge fans of the open concept floor plan, modern white kitchen and spacious bathroom.
